1. Watching YouTube Tarot readings about all aspects of my life that boost me for no reason.
2. Walking outside around my neighborhood and randomly cat-walking like a boss to “Don’t Blame Me” by Taylor Swift. At least, I think I look like a boss.
3. Saying I can make my own cold brew. Idk why it just boosts me when people are impressed by that.
4. When someone says I look pretty when I felt like I woke up on the wrong side of the garbage can a few hours before.
5. When you are baking/cooking something trash, and everyone eating it saying it’s delicious. You still know what went wrong, so it’s not perfect. But everyone only cares about the taste.
6. When I jam to a song while I’m in public and someone joins me. This is how friendships are made.
7. At a gig, someone tips me and says that I should do this for the rest of my life because I’m amazing. Being told shit like that is better than sex.
8. Looking in the mirror and feeling yourself, then performing all the K-pop choreography that you know. Careful. Don’t hit that Ddu-Du Ddu-Du too hard, or you’ll trip and fall into your closet. It’s not fun explaining the small scar above your eye after that.
9. Recommending something to someone, and them thinking it’s better than sliced bread. You feel like some type of ahead-of-the-trend God for absolutely no reason at all.
10. Going someone and getting food freebies for being a nice person or because someone’s flirting with you. That’s the kind of boost expensive things can’t buy. Rings are pretty, but a free extra soft-boiled egg in my ramen hits different.
11. Running something through Grammarly and it coming up with no mistakes. I feel like an English master when that happens.
12. In class discussion boards, when people agree and love everything that you said and go into detail on why. Not some bullshit wander for the grade. Even though I give out bullshit wanders, it’s nice to get good responses.
13. Back when we went to concerts, having an immediate bond with anyone in the pit with you. I had an unopened contact solution and contact case in my purse and helped a girl out. Held hands and hugged countless strangers, and also jumping slamming against them. Made friends I’d never see again, etc. Nothing hits like those types of bonds.
14. When we were at a concert, and the artist would get close enough to you, and they smile/interact with you. Maybe it’s because I see a lot of smaller artists, but it feels so amazing. I take advantage of it. When I’m at bigger concerts I don’t feel as immersed. I’ve had people laugh at me cause I was being cute, talk to me, hug me, hand onto my hand, sing into my eyes, etc. Alternative bands are some of the best live.
15. When your package arrives. That’s it.
